- Size and resolution. 24 inches at 1080p is great for everyday use. 27 inches looks best at 1440p, and 4K shines for photos, video and big screens.
- Refresh rate for gaming. 144Hz or higher makes games and even scrolling feel smoother. For office work, 60 to 75Hz is fine.
- Panel type. IPS panels have the best colors and viewing angles. VA panels have deeper blacks. TN is fast but looks washed out from the side.
- Connections. Check you have the right ports. A USB-C monitor can charge and connect a laptop with one cable.
